It's a light balaclava with extra neck protection than my existing ones, so that's awesome. My glasses fit, the breathing panel allows air to move relatively freely, and it doesn't obstruct my bike helmet at all. When it gets cold, I'll still wear my normal cap on top of this for an added layer of warmth and some slight water resistance.

This doesn't fit my face super-tight, which is a good thing, as it would get annoying. However it means some breath will still move around under the mask before being pushed away; that might affect your glasses' fogging.

The lower face cover portion pulls down smoothly, so you don't always have to look like a bank robber.

It's not particularly windproof, for the same reasons that allow breathability. But it cuts the chill. Same limitation with waterproofness.

Overall, good buy!

    Out of the box, material quality is very good. Good elasticity on everything but the front of the mask too. There's reinforcement for the top of the nose and the material is actually thinner at the very tip of the nose to ease with inhalation. Unfortunately, because it's not such a tight fit over the nose and mouth, exhalation still scatters so you can feel it go around the face. The curve for the chin is also quite low – much lower than any balaclava I've ever worn – so the excess material just kinda hangs there waiting to be caught on something.

    Fortunately, the head fits extremely well and there's JUST enough material to cover the front of the neck, so that it doesn't get exposed when looking up. The main product photo makes it look as though it goes all the way down to the chest but no. It doesn't even reach my shoulders and barely gets to the bottom of my neck at the back. But if I wear a higher collar there aren't any problems. Not bad, but I kinda wish it was a bit longer all the way around and with a better fitting chin. Four stars from me.

    This ski mask fits pretty well. Easy to slip on, and it hold tight enough on your nose that it won't slip.

    For very cold weather, I don't know if I'd recommend it. It's probably great for skiing, or any activity where you're also active or wearing a helmet over it. But from my limited testing so far even at near-freezing temperatures, it's warm but not as warm as something like fleece. So in sub -20C weather, I don't know if I'd rely on just this. It would like be effective as part of multiple layers.

    The mouth area is very easy to breathe out of, though. And it offers good protection for your ears, while leaving room for goggles or glasses. And the top part fits snugly around your forehead without slipping down onto your eyes. So I would recommend giving it a try.
