I got these for my grandson who started skiing this winter. I was afraid that his feet would get cold and then he wouldn't have a good time. So I got him these. When they came I loved them. They were so bright and soft. There is a good amount of elastic on them so they don't fall down and they will last. The best thing is that they are warm and sized to fit. I was worried that if they were too big that they would bunch up but they fit perfectly. My grandson like the design too. My favorite part is that he says his feet stay warm and because they come two in a package if one gets wet when he takes his boots off in the house and steps in snow that there is a dry pair available. This Moreno Wool is so soft and comfortable.

    At under $20 for two pairs, this is a very reasonable price for wool socks. They are quite thick and feel cushy. It's not cold enough yet to know how warm they are, but they feel like they'll do the job. My 9yr-old daughter wears a size 2 shoe and the small fit her perfectly and come halfway up her shin. (I wear a size 5 women's shoe and these would actually fit me too.) I washed both pairs in the normal laundry and line dried one pair and put the other in the dryer on medium heat with the rest of the load; they both turned out just fine so it's a relief to know I can just wash them normally.

    I wasn't able to figure out exactly what these socks are made of. The listing says wool and the tags on the socks say merino wool 30%. But there's no indication what the other 70% is and I'm not sure why that is. They do feel soft and comfy, but I think they have a slight wool scratch to them and my younger daughter tried them and said they were itchy. I think they'll be fine on bare feet and over pants, but something to note in case you have an especially sensitive child.

    The socks are warm, and although they feel slightly scratchy to my hands, my four-year-old wears them without any complaints so I don't think it's noticeable during wear. My son wears a little kid size 12 shoe so we got size S. 12 is at the bottom of the size range and the socks fit a little big on him right now. I expect they'll fit better next year, but they're still usable now.
