How to play Carrom?
It is played on a smooth wooden square table called carrom board using a flat round carrom striker and carrom coins. Each player gets 9 pieces each out of 9 black, 9 white and 1 red carrom coins which they need to strike in the pockets on the 4 corners. The player who manages to put all his/her 9 coins in the pocket wins the carom board game!
Carrom rules sound fun and easy? Yes, it is that easy – put the men in the pocket of the carrom board and win the game but with a twist. You need to grab the red coin – usually called the “queen” or “rani” and along with it another black or white coin. If you don’t get a strike on black or white coin– the queen is not yours until the next try and as a result of not striking a coin, the queen comes back on the board.
