What I received
I received a sealed (thank you) rectangular kind of flimsy brown cardboard package, measuring about 15" x 11½” x 4" and weighing just over (4½) pounds. [A sealed package gives me peace of mind that anything inside was clean and untampered with.]

Describe the package
The package was plain brown and did not have much in the way of marketing information on the exterior of the package.

What’s inside the package
Inside of course were (12) yellow dimpled practice batting balls. Each was bagged in clear open plastic.

Accuracy of listing
Everything was as described and as pictured, I could not have done better to show this item.

Some dimensions
These dimpled training softballs are nice, not junk. They are oversized, measuring (12”) in circumference. Each weighed in at about 184 grams, which is about (6½) ounces.

Texture
Dimpled high friction surface, made from PU (polyurethane, a plastic material) It feels a little rubbery (flexible), however, we still can get a ping from the aluminum bat – we used an Easton baseball bat, and some hard drives.

Classic cage balls
From what I can tell, these are classic batting cage balls, however, they are only to be used with Furlihong softball toss machines numbered and lettered at 6902BHA and 6902BH.

It’s all about practice.
It’s funny how a person’s abilities can increase with practice. These are perfect for practice
Performance
Every ball worked as intended, jumping off the bat nicely.

Value
The price is as competitive as any other similar ball. I say decent value

Criticisms and/or suggestion(s).
I wish a bag was included with these.

Fit & Finish
Everything is flawlessly made, sturdy, and durable.

As a gift?
Would make an okay gift, the plain brown packaging has more of a warehouse than retail look. But once opened, it’s like going through a treasure chest, which everybody loves.

Why dimpled?
The dimples are to benefit the pitching machine’s accuracy.

Country of origin?
Made in China.

Bottom-line?
I do like this, and yes, I would select this again.

    These will make great practice softballs, especially if you have a machine to use them in. You could also pitch them by hand, but these are the types of balls specifically made for use in a pitching machine. 12" is a standard men's softball size that you'd find in any batting cage. These look and feel very similar to the balls I'm used to hitting in batting cages like Grand Slam, etc.

    These seem well made and they have a good look and feel. They have a tiny bit of give to them compared to some balls I've used in the past, but by no means are they squishy or anything. They might be a little easier on your bat long-term than some of the rock hard versions, but I can't definitively say that one way or the other yet. These are nice balls that should last a long time.

    I assumed these were the ones I needed for my Furlihong baseball toss machine, as they looked identical as the ones that came with it, but I was mistaken. These ones are double the size and too big to even try to use. It really is my fault for not double checking sizes before ordering, so hopefully my review helps someone else avoid the same mistake. Regardless, these are a nice set, and although they will not work for my machine, I will find some use for them. Pic is of these on the left, right is the size I needed. Still, these are decent well-made softball sized balls. And if your child needs a set to practice with, these are great for that.

    I got these training softball to practice with my kids and they have worked great. They are made of good quality and seem durable enough to last. We have not used them with a pitching machine yet but they should be compatible. They are easy to grip and throw and hit and bounce similar to how a regular softball would play. These practice balls would be great for any team or coach who need a good bucket of balls to take to the field!

    I got these training softball to practice with my kids and they have worked great. They are made of good quality and seem durable enough to last. We have not used them with a pitching machine yet but they should be compatible. They are easy to grip and throw and hit and bounce similar to how a regular softball would play.
