I bought this to introduce my granddaughter to archery, as a step up from those plastic play bow-and-arrow toy sets.

This isn't a toy. It's a bow. It's ambidextrous — which is a huge plus since GD is left-handed, and when she outgrows it I can give it to my grandson or another kid for more enjoyment. Or she can shoot it with a right-handed friend and they can have fun together.

It's a perfectly safe little "plinker" bow with low draw weight. You can have them shoot it at like 10 or 20 yards, to teach them form and let them get used to drawing a bow with proper bow etiquette and form, handling arrows, and having fun in the back yard or at the archery range.

It comes with 3 safety arrows already. I bought a few more at our local Academy store, plus a little hip quiver (as others have stated it did not come with one), and she's good to go now.

She'll probably outgrow it in a year or two, but that's fine, and I'll upgrade her to a Genesis probably at that point.

I haven't figured out how to adjust the draw weight (I don't think it's possible), but that's fine too, for our purposes it's good enough as-is.

It's not very accurate, but that's fine too, she's not shooting competitions, this is literally just a beginner bow for very basic beginner things. She was putting arrows reliably on the paper target I bought, which made her happy, which made me happy, and it's all good. Can't beat it for the price, and it's purple which is her favorite color.

Great way to get your kid outdoors and introduce them to archery for a small investment.
